Capital of Cowboys!

Bandera is tiny, just a spot in the center of Texas, but this is where cowboys come to drink on horseback – leaving the animals tied up outside on the rail. The Medina River offers quiet white water rafting crossing the village. The food is Anglo-German, just like the heritage around here. The Texans here own ranches the size of a small departement in France. Four-wheel drive are their modern horses, but some places won’t even allow vehicles, you must rodeo through them. The fries here have nothing to do with France, they are called home fries and are large slabs of potatoes sometimes served with their skin on. The local cows have gigantic horns winging feet away from their heads.
