This is a cool place right on 5th avenue in Gaslamp Quarter to grab a drink and have some appetizers – Super super American, it is a sports bar that becomes a club at night, with Happy Hours M-F, 3 to 7 pm. Really cool!

This gorgeous “casa” is a reproduction of buildings from the 1915 Pan American Exposition. Today, la Casa Del Prado hosts different youth organizations, several performing art groups and keeps a full schedule of activities.

One of the largest lath structures in the world, the historic building of the Botanical Garden is a must-see! It contains more than 2,100 permanent plants, including a beautiful collection of tropical plants, and is free to the public on Friday through Wednesday (10am – 4pm). Don’t miss the Lily Pond and Lagoon, right by the Botanical Building.
This aircraft carrier used to be the largest ship in the world, and is now a maritime museum, with an extensive collection of aircraft. Every Day 10am-5pm – Buy your tickets online and receive a $2 discount!

Colorful spot in Balboa Park, the Spanish Village Art Center is filled with works from local artists, and daily demonstrations. Known as “San Diego’s largest artists community”, it filled with artwork of more than 200 artists, in 37 studios and galleries. The studios are usually open every day, 11am-4pm.
