Drink with a view… Instead of paying 18$ to go on top of the Hancock tower, choose the Signature Lounge bar. You’ll have a cocktail while enjoying the view. My tip ? The best view is from the woman’s bathroom. Kids friendly before 7pm

At first, it could sound very difficult but you’ll experiment really quickly how it works and feel thrilled like a kid ! Drive along the lakefront until Museum field. Very funny and interesting guides, few anecdotes about the city, quite expensive but it worth it. My tips : look at groupon or other websites to get coupons or special offers. Sometimes, when paying cash, you’ll have better chances to negociate. http://chicagosegways.com/ http://www.chicagosegwaytour.com/ http://chicago.citysegwaytours.com/ http://www.mysegwayexperience.com/ http://bikechicago.com/segwaytours/ http://www.stevessegwaytours.com/Pages/default.aspx http://www.choosechicago.com/listing/Absolutely-Chicago-Segway-Tours/34743/

One of the latest French-style restaurant to open in Chicago. The food is absolutely amazing ! Ask for their “macaron de foie-gras” or “le boeuf bourguignon” that are to die for… $$$ http://www.theblanchardchicago.com/ – – no parking valet

Would you be thrilled to walk on Mars ? Or to land a spaceship on the Moon ? Put yourself in the shoes of Buzz Aldrin or Neil Armstrong at the Adler Planetarium 🙂 Family friendly. My tip : enjoy the multiple areas for kids along the way to make it more attractive for the youngest (lego construction, robot experimentation, spaceship playground…) http://www.adlerplanetarium.org/

Everything at Eataly smells like home and high-quality food and drink. Indulge yourself into the pleasure. You can shop, dine even take cooking classes. My tips : select your bottle and drink it at the bar with friends or try their fresh mozzarella di buffala with virgin olive oil, squisita. https://www.eataly.com/

There are so many things to discover in this museum that you can easily come twice : visit a real German U-boat, a Boeing 727, a 999 steam locomotive, imagine yourself into the Picard Gondola, go under a coal mine, and many interactive exhibitions… Family friendly http://www.msichicago.org/ And for those who want to visit a US submarine, drive up North : http://www.mydistrikt.com/distrikt/18313410966567078601/post/6454973214466654262
There are many different cruises to see Chicago from the inside. My favorite is the CAF one. The guide is so talented, he has a story or an anecdote for each building, impressive. Get your cameras ready ! Family friendly. http://www.architecture.org/

My favorite museum in town ! Two galleries are definitely a must-see : The Impressionnists’ one with an incredible series of Monet, Degas, Renoir and the Fauvistes/Cubistes’ one with Matisse, Picasso and many others. http://www.artic.edu/ Mon musée préféré dans cette ville. For those who are still searching for more, don’t miss the Milwaukee Art Museum designed by Calatrava. Art with an astonishing view : http://www.mydistrikt.com/distrikt/18313410966567078601/post/9359630910952326254

Details of the bronze Peacock Doors, designed by Tiffany for the Palmer House Hotel. The renovation of the hotel has been magnificient ! Take a look. http://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/illinois/palmer-house-a-hilton-hotel-CHIPHHH/index.html
L’art dans la ville… Public art by Chagall in Chicago : the Four Seasons. So delicate ! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Seasons_%28Chagall%29

Enseigne mythique pour un lieu de spectacle qui l’est tout autant… The elegant lobby, majestic staircase and beautiful auditorium complete with murals above the stage and on the ceiling will leave your breathless. http://www.thechicagotheatre.com/
