Create a distriKt… Take pictures of your messy garage before your partner requests a garage sale. Everybody’s got something to share. What about you? Talk about the street you live in, catchy street arts in your favorite city, a sweet little island you went to on vacation, your private room when you were a teenager, your messy garage before your wife requests a garage sale, your chaotic purse, the inside of your favorite bar, an overwhelming underwater world, this fantastic festival you went to… Just press the K button and start creating a distriKt anywhere you want to talk about. Kate, our smart, charming and gentle algorithm, looks at your activity to determine if you should be able to create more distriKts. More specifically, Kate looks at how popular your distriKts are and how much interaction your posts generate. If you post nice pictures, articles and videos, people will conneKt to your distriKts, like, comment, share and keep your posts. It’s very easy. Once Kate finds out that you deserve more distriKts, you will be notified by the mydistriKt Team through your mailbox. You get push notifications when you have new activities or new requests from users conneKted to your distriKts all the time? Wow, you are a very good mydistriKt user. Everybody’s happy you share great places! But, at the end of the day it is your decision which alerts to receive and which ones to turn off. Go to settings, press “Push notifications” and check your alerts. You start as a beginner on mydistriKt. But no worries: create your own distriKt(s), share posts and conneKt to other distriKts to increase your visibility and get to the next level. If you reach the SuperconneKter status (pink), you’re really cool! It’s based on your activity as a user on other user’s content. ConneKt to distriKts, like, comment, share or keep posts. You become one of our popular DistriKt reporters (green) if you’re distriKt(s) rock and a lot of conneKters like, comment, share or keep your content. And you are pretty much the coolest when we call you a K ambassador (gold). AWESOME – a new mydistriKt iOS app version 1.4.1 is now available in the App Store. Apple lovers, please update your mydistriKt app to enjoy this new version. Share distriKts or posts much easier with your friends on facebook, Twitter, mail or messages now. AND: with the new notifications indicator (this charming little white dot) you are able to find out, where a notification is waiting for you: either in activity, request or mailbox. Oh and by the way: we’ve fixed some bugs and have done some performance improvements. Our tip: go to your mailbox and open all the messages you haven’t read during the last days (bold headline).
